Chief (HON) Mrs. Elizabeth Uyinmwen Ativie was born in Lokojo, Kogi State to the Family of Mr. & Mrs. Josiah Aigbokhae of Orhua Village in Uhunwonde Local Government Area of Edo State.

She attended St. Catherine Girls Grammer School, Owo, Ondo State State School of Health Technology, Benin City, University of Benin School of Nursing, Family Health Education Training Programme sponsored by John Hopkins in USA, as well as the University of Benin where she obtained Bachelor of Science degree in Health Education and a Master of Science degree in Sociology and Anthropology.

Hon. Ativie is elected for a second term on the platform of ACN  to represent the Uhunmwonde Local Government Constituency and she have herd different Committee as Chairman like Committee on Transport, Committee on Women Affairs.

She was also elected on the platform of the APC 2015 general election to represent the good people of Uhunmwonde Local Government  State Constituency, on May 3rd 2016. history was made as she was elected by House to be the Speaker, by this, she is the first Female Speaker in Edo State House Assembly and the whole of South-South Nigeria.

 

Due to the change in the House Leadership of the House on 26th of July, 2016 before the Governorship Election 2016 She steps down to be the Deputy Speaker, this was done in other to balance the political position in tthe state due to senetorial zone, also due to the change in the Leadership of the House on 14th August, 2017 She was remove as the Deputy Speaker
